Cherry Pickles came together after binging on Bucks Fizz - I think they mean the champagne and orange juice cocktail rather than the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest winners. Their second album 'The Juice That's Worth The Squeeze' is a delightful mix of Tropicalia, no-wave, ‘60s garage-rock, guitar fuzz and outsider art. It all makes for a cracking lo-fi rock record - think early White Stripes.
