New York based artist Brian Piñeyro releases his long-awaited sophomore studio record under his alias DJ Python. Titled Mas Amable, it takes a number of twists and turns through the same kind of slow reggaeton and deep, lo-fi and languid house that his 2017 debut effort did to such critical acclaim.

Sophomore album from Brian Piñeyro as DJ Python aka Deejay Xanax, DJ Wey and Luis. No doubt these tunes would have been getting properly hammered at parties and festivals this summer, but sadly it’s not to be. Listening, I can just visualize pretty boys in floral print shirts and girls with flowers in their hair grooving away at Dekmantel. But we can still dance at home, right? “Dance” music for me has never exclusively belonged in a club. A record like this, for example, I can happily crank up at home and the energy just elevates my day. It’s pretty freakin irresistible too - whatever you wanna call it; dembow, dancehall, reggaeton, one thing is for sure, and that is DJ Python’s serpentine rhythms will not fail to move you. I think I need a hip replacement. Instant party - just add sunshine.
