The follow-up which arrived less than 12 months after their ground-breaking self-titled debut, 1985’s King of Rock comprehensively proved that Run-DMC were here to stay, and so was hip-hop. The eponymous lead single ‘King of Rock’ may be the tentpole of the album, but the other eight tracks are fleet-footed demonstrations of tag-team vocals and rough-hewn beats.
