Shame by Ed The Dog

Nice set of outsider rock from High Wycombe’s Ed The Dog here. Debut LP Shame finds the singer-songwriter bringing his unusual vocals - think Graham Coxon having a go at fronting Los Campesinos! - to a wide-ranging set of instrumentals. While cuts such as ‘Television Era’ come off a bit like Little Creatures-era Talking Heads, other tracks nod to Mac Demarco (‘Little Brother’), Yuck (‘A Good Thing’) and Joey Fourr (‘Weirdo Years’).
