Sins For Beginners isn't just that class Lucifer runs but an extreme noise/metal act who return with 'Fireburn the Bloodlot'. Expect riffs heavier than uranium and guitars distorted beyond belief. 'Fireburn the Bloodlot' sounds exactly as you'd expect it to: mean, meaty, and monstrous. For fans of Sunn O))) and the Skull Defekts.

Dual axe-wielding session from CM Von Hausswolff and Joachim Nordwall who join forces as Sins for Beginners for a record of good ole' fashioned molten drone metal guitar noise. The pair blast out a hellish soundscape that sounds like the sorta demonic wall of blistering sound Beelzebub and Cthulhu crank out as they hit their demon bongs. For me, Matthew Bower will always be the ultimate master of this sound, but kudos to CM Von Hausswolff and Joachim Nordwall as they seem to take their metal machine music somewhere else - deep into some dank underground caverns where hideous mythical beasts toil. The first side, in particular, is a blast, while the flipside reins it in a wee bit for a more spooked, malevolent vibe. Real horrorshow.
