‘Discourse’, the third single from Sleaford Mods’ recent UK Top 10 album Eton Alive, released on 7” white vinyl and backed with the previously unreleased title track of that LP on its B-side. Jason Williamson is in fine vocal form as ever, spitting pent-up social observations over an equally tense backdrop of fast-paced bpms.

Ooohhh I really love this. 'Discourse' from Sleaford Mods' latest effort 'Eton Alive' has been granted a 7" release which is wholly deserved. The more attention on this track the better. It skips along with some pure Shangaan Electro synthy percussion; deedleedeedleedeedlee it goes. There's also a pretty hypnotic bass guitar riff and I love the way this interplays with the rest of the song. As with every other SM tracks, Jason Willamson's guttural barking form the track's centrepoint, though this track is as much about the backing as the lyrics. I love the fact that the Mods have been listening to Shangaan Electro music and that desire to progress proves again why the Sleaford Mods are one of Britain's most essential bands.
