Dominick Fernow (Prurient) and Phillippe Hallais (Low Jack) reunite as Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement for another cut of humid dub dread. ‘Venus Flytrap Excotica’ is aptly titled, relocating the dance-floor in the depths of the jungle, with this sense of being entwined in a mass wildlife, straying further and further outwards from civilisation.

Dominick Fernow (Prurient, Vatican Shadow etc.) returns the favour to Low Jack for his assistance on the 'Red Ants Genesis' record with a seven-inch on his Les Disques De La Bretagne wing of Editions Gravats. The OG pressing of this sold out mega quickly, so if you missed out, now's your chance to cop the re-press - this time around on transparent green wax in an edition of 400 copies.
On the A-side we get ‘Bridgetown Dub’ which comes like a more stoned and zoned take on Demdike Stare and Low Jack’s recent forays into dancehall - except this one’s coming at us from under some rain splattered tree canopy deep within some un-mapped jungle terrain, complete with thunder cracks and flashes of lightning illuminating the skeletal rhythm at the tracks core. Things get murkier on the B-side, where ‘Price To Pay’ has us lost and disorientated - squelching through infinite woodland, having just discovered a human skull upon a tree stump, complete with an evil looking hungry snake with flickering tongue crawling out of the eye socket. Yeah, proper Indiana Jones business about to go down….
