Today's question. Did people have lower voices in the 80s? After watching a documentary about people like Paul Haig it really made me wonder. Gently Tender are a new project made out of members of the Palma Violets and the Big Moon but look set to be musically more interesting than those two. The lead track is sung by a man with a very low voice and comes across sort of as Nick Cave trying to have a right big Wah Heat style 80s hit. They are really going for it here and once I'm in the middle of the B side Intros and Outrage it strikes me... it's the bloody Triffids. They have the same wide open sound and predilection for big choruses.
