There's already been a band called Fuck now we have Good Fuck which I suppose narrows down the description a bit. This is no normal Fuck. It's a good one. Well you know who it is is don't you? It's bloody Tim Kinsella (Joan of Arc, Cap’n Jazz) with Jenny Pulse (Spa Moans). Together they make oddball dark electronica and one of their songs is called Jenny Dreams of Pies.

Their label is called ‘Joyful Noise’ and joyful noise is the name of the game. Fractured and at times a little fractuous, Good Fuck by Good Fuck is an album that, for all its abrasive electronic posturing, never loses its sense of fun. It’s a winning combination of super-sharp, high definition metallic squeaks and squelches, and clanking, industrial basslines; you can’t go wrong. Every track is hard-edged but is still a little bit intentionally dumb in the way that Von Sudenfed, Confidence Man, and Sleaford Mods all are. There’s even a ‘ ;) ’ face in the liner notes. The vocals on this album are delivered in that sickly sweet, PC Music, electroclash kind of way. They tell you ‘I’m a good person’, to ‘Come out tonight’, and talk about the ‘god of benevolent vending machines’.
‘Gold’ and ‘Spring Song’, positioned around the middle of this LP make the album a much more rounded affair, with a change in feeling as well as tempo. ‘Gold’ is one of my favourite songs from this album, carrying a genuine sense of menace that you only get with proper dubstep (no, not that dubstep, the other one) such as Commodo, Kahn, or early Skream. This is a direction that I would love to hear explored more on their next LP.
Although you might want to abbreviate or change the title/band name when you tell your mum, boss, grandad, etc, this is an album you should be telling everyone about.
