Proper DIY business from the intriguingly named SILKess Demon here. The band put a hell of a lot of work to bring Wet Woman into existence - and not just when it comes to writing the tunes, though the mix of Specialist Subject Records-esque home-punk and idiosyncratic spoken word pieces here is a winner. But we’re talking elbow grease, man. Singer Dominique Golden has come up with the artwork and made the sleeves and inserts for Wet Woman, while her bandmate Nicholas Clifford spent years restoring and learning to operate a vinyl lathe so that they could cut the records themselves. This EP is a real labour of love.
