Well, maybe it’s not that bad, but there will definitely be a few eyebrows raised at the fact that Pearson Sound has declared ‘Earwig’ from his Rubble EP his ‘first (and maybe last) acid track’.
But still yourself, young raver - despite the fact that ‘Earwig’ is indeed built from the classic acid tools of an 808 and a 303, the piece’s zany groove and skittish hi-hats means we're not exactly dealing with 'Voodoo Ray' here. Also, the other two tracks on Rubble are the sort of reassuringly weighty UK techno we’ve come to expect from Pearson Sound these days, so just give them a rinse if you’re still unsure.
