Teresa Winter previously released a tape on Reckno back in 2015, followed up in 2017 by the ace hallucinogenic electronics of her 'Untitled Death' LP on The Death of Rave. She returns to the imprint for the equally intimate 'What The Night Is For'. Heading deep into the occult and afterlife realms with droning organ, zoned ambient, field recordings and tracks that feel like a contemporary revision of "Englands Hidden Reverse". 'For Murder' recalls moments of Cosey Fanni 'Tutti's Time To Tell' and her repetition of the word "Bestial" seems almost like a meditation on Coil's "angels are bestial, man is the animal.." lyric. Comparisons aside, Winter is proving herself to be a unique and distinctive voice from the UK underground.
