Please be very very careful. This is not the 1980s Lotus Eaters famous for their 'First Picture of You' single. Instead these are two techno artists Lucy and Rrose. Here the two step away from the usual techno instrumentation and use synthesized sound and feedback to generate both textural and percussive elements to their music.

Rrose and Lucy open up a vortex with a gravity-defying long-player that has us well and truly lost in space. The duo has previously collaborated for a pair of EPs on each other's respective labels; Eaux and Stroboscopic Artefacts, and have now fully adopted The Lotus Eaters handle for this collaboration. If you were into the aforementioned EPs then you sorta know what to expect here, that is endlessly DEEP, abyssal minimal techno and drone deviations. They never took the obvious, relentlessly bangin’ club tackle route on their previous work together and expand on this across ten spacey tracks of precise, subtle, chrome plated rhythms and buoyant ambient that has us spiralling in wormholes. Think a kinda murky update on the bleeping, reduced blueprints of Ø / Mika Vainio / early Sähkö Recordings. Trippy, strange, otherworldly and always mysterious - 'Desatura' is quite the trip.
