Swedish-Iranian composer Shida Shahabi incorporates her different backgrounds in intimate piano-based soundtracks & -scapes. No wonder she’s on FatCat’s modern classical 130701 imprint, among the likes of Max Richter, Johann Johannsson, and Hauschka. For Home, Shida has stuck to the piano, letting her creativity run freely.

8/10 Richard Customer review, 18th October 2018
The Fat Cat 130701 imprint continues to release records that are capable of retaining your interest beyond the usual neo-classical output of many an artist. Shida Shahabi's 'Home' is a short (just shy of 30 minutes) but very sweet slice of piano based motifs that do a lovely job of both spinning gorgeous melodies around your head whilst wrapping you gently up and keeping you warm. The recording is such that you almost feel as if the music is being played in the room right where you are sat listening. An intimate and lovingly created vignette.
