Barrow/Norway hook ups Her's have aligned themselves with a never ending cycle of album titles. 'Invitation to Her's' follows the compilation 'Songs of Her's' and we predict the next one with be 'Thrown out of Her's' or 'The Police Were Round at Her's' or later their Go-Betweens covers album 'Her's Handwriting'. Aaaaaanyway this is tipped to be one of the biggest indie debut's this world has ever seen.

Thank you very much but I'm not sure I'd want an Invitation To Her's. I bet there's a massive cheese platter on the sideboard and mountains of souffle. You see Her's make a very cheesy kind of indie pop. It's super sweet, so sweet in fact that I had to skip 'Mawnie's Smile' as it was hurting my teeth. They sound something like the early China Crisis or the Farmers Boys with rink a dink drum machines, casio keyboards and perky vocals. Like Connan Mockasin they can't help but mess about. You see, there's moments I like such as 'Carry the Doubt' which has that the Cleaners from Venus guitar sound down pat and the cheesiness dialled down somewhat but it's sung idiotically in a sort of hiccupy voice.
If they could just get serious for a minute things might pick up but they are so obsessed with hero worshipping their 80s forbearers that they forget to write anything that might be emotive and may strike the heart of an actual human. There are moments that show true songwriting skill and I'm hurtled back to early 80s dalliances with the likes of the Style Council but everything's got to be so damn ironic these days that I just can't take it seriously.
