Amen to that! We Want Neither Clean Hands Nor Clean Souls sees Serena Butler surface on Lucy’s Stroboscopic Artefacts. The surroundings suit Butler nicely, and the heads-down techno of ‘Globular Hymen’ and ‘Science Is Not An Expression But A Suspension Of Gender’ (nicely put) has shades of label-mates Chevel and Perc. Elsewhere ‘And With Fire Came Disparity’ ends the EP by stripping out the drums to forefront a spoken passage that illuminates the record’s queer feminist agenda. Excellent stuff.
