The point of germination for this release from Rome-born, London-based drummer/producer Dave De Rose can be traced back to a series of hour-long jam sessions he curated at a pizza restaurant in Brixton Village in 2015. He subsequently repeated the trick in-studio, with collaborators and De Rose playing for an hour before the results were edited down from the free-form originals into excerpts to be released across two vinyl records. At times the playing is in keeping with the London new-school of Ezra Collective, Joe Armon-Jones et al, while at others the pieces have a more impressionistic ambient quality to them ala some Polar Bear.
