Does anyone remember the very minor furore that surrounded the release of Beck’s 2006 LP The Information? The gist of it was that the album wouldn't be eligible for a chart placing because, rather than having artwork, the album’s sleeve was a blank background on which you could apply some stickers that came with the album to create whatever cover you wished. It seems like Parquet Courts have let this one slip from their minds too, and it’s a crucial blunder - if it didn’t come with a sticker album, we’d have their leftfield World Cup anthem ‘Total Football’ down as a nailed-on top ten smash.
