Mr. Music aka Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood has coughed up another small masterpiece here. This time he’s done it on cue for director Lynne Ramsey in order to score his new film You Were Never Really Here, and he’s also enlisted the help of Oliver Coates and the London Contemporary Orchestra. Anyone who enjoyed Greenwood’s work on There Will Be Blood, Inherent Vice etc will get another kick out of this.

We all know that Jonny Greenwood can rustle up a damn fine soundtrack, so expectations are always high when he's putting a new one out there. This one starts off all gentle, and soothing, but you know it's not going to remain that way. Pretty soon we're into experimental territory, with wonky and disorienting sounds leaking from the speakers, and the tension is ratcheted right up. Other cuts even bring in banging beats, weird precussion, and synth sounds not too far away from John Carpenter in places. The amber vinyl pressing is nice too, although at the time of writing this cd is just a fiver, so a right ruddy bargain.
