By now, the music of Joe Meek probably needs no introduction. The studio obsessive, eccentric and pioneer was responsible for a raft of independent pop productions in the '60s; possibly the most notable of these being 'Telstar' by his house band the Tornados in 1962, which reached No.1 on both the UK and US singles charts. Some of the tracks on The Emotional, Cosmic & Occult World Of Joe Meek will be known to his wider audience, however there are a number of really obscure gems to be discovered within these grooves. Features tracks by The Blue Men, The Sound Offs, Mike Berry, The Cryon' Shames, Glenda Collins and Joe himself crooning a number. Limited press on Mississippi.
