Another cheery release from Urashima Records (Merzbow, The Haters) here. Skin Crime are probably the only recording artist currently operating to profess a fascination with ‘the theme of gothic horror as it relates to 18th and 19th century lighthouses’. Righto. Anyway, they bounced their ideas back and forth with Wilt to create the unrelentingly miserable The Horror Of Fang Rock. Drones, field recordings, ‘scarecrow elektroniks’ and a general air of Aleister Crowley-style ghoulishness are all-pervasive here.
Staff note from Ant:
Chicago's dark ambient duo Wilt received audio in the mail from harsh noise fiends Skin Crime and did some back and forth collaboration. The result is almost two hours of immense pitch black sonics which are darker than your absolute worst nightmare.
