Now that Gordon Raphael is done with finding new acts and producing them - The Strokes, Regina Spektor or producing established acts, Damon Albarn, Ian Brown, Ian Astbury, he has decided to return his first love - writing and playing songs. With a voice akin to Peter Perrett or Syd Barrett, music that takes its cues from Mick Ronson, Sparks and Frank Zappa, and a collection of songs whittled down from 1000 to 12, his debut solo album, Sleep On The Radio promises to be quite a thing. LP on Zero Hours.
