Pete Swanson and pals at Freedom to Spend reissue on vinyl a 1985 cassette release of poetry and music by the late author Ursula le Guin and Todd Barton. For her wonderful novel Always Coming Home, Le Guin envisaged a distant post-technological community called the Kesh, living in what is now Northern California. Her imagination extended in detail to the people’s language, folklore, music, tools and traditions. On Music and Poetry of the Kesh, Le Guin and Barton sound pseudo-field work of the Kesh, adding unusual and exciting depth to her writings.
