Undertale has become one of the most loved video games ever released thanks to creator Toby Fox's ability to capture and subvert so many of the tropes that inspired him. As well as creating the game, he composed the soundtrack, without which Undertale would not be nearly as potent. Also 'Megalovania' shreeeds. This is a special edition of the soundtrack pressed to celebrate the game's release in Japan.

Undertale is one of those great success stories from the world of indie game making. A young gamemaker by the name of Toby Fox creates a unique, genre-bending video game in his spare time, unleashes it on the world and makes millions of dollars as it's enthusiastically received and beloved in the gaming community.
Like almost all great games the soundtrack lives up to the game itself and in this case it was composed by Fox as well, making him a double-threat. Like the art of the game itself, the music harks back to the days of the Super Nintendo, combining a number of musical styles to give each unique character their own catchy themes using the limited sounds available during the 16-bit era. With subtle references to Zelda and Earthbound, the music of Undertale stands up on its own merits and will be sure to worm its way into your brain and live there for a long time!
