Reissue of the rare 1983 reggae album on Wackies, through Mark Ernestus and Mortiz von Oswald's Basic Channel imprint. A landmark in that its lead singers are women, cousins Sonia Abel and Claudette Brown from Brixton, offering a different perspective and sound than the men who have historically dominated the genre.

8/10 Jack Customer review, 30th January 2018

I walked into a record store and was stopped dead in my tracks by this one. Amazing album, a classic that most people have never heard of. Great vocals, roots lyrics, with a solid band that takes the songs out dub-wise... the dub, mixing, all is so well balanced and so solid. Masterfully produced. Amazing album for roots and dub fans, it's a perfect blend, trancey yet solidly rooted. Don't hesitate. If you like dub, reggae, or even if you deaf you'll like to feel the basslines in your gut. The sisters have a nice voice behind some rockin' dub.
