A lesser-known jazz treat from 1971 here sees its first vinyl reissue since it was first released. Harold Alexander, the titular Sunshine Man, had a wonderfully soulful and funky take on jazz, leaning in both free and fusion directions at times. Sunshine Man has found its way into sample banks numerous times, but now you can give the record a chance to breathe in full. Reissued by Tidal Waves.

8/10 Jack Customer review, 31st January 2018
Harold Alexander blows and sings the flute at the same time. I love his style and have never found anyone that plays with so much feeling. This is a old cut from the early 70's and only the Japanese have rights to his music. If someone wants to hear the whole flute played to it's full potential Sunshine Man does that and more. You really need to listen to some of Harold's stuff. He has three solo albums out (Sunshine Man, Raw Root, & Are You Ready). They are all three different. He is also featured on albums with John Coltrane, Pretty Purdie and Neal Creque.
