Cults - yes they did spell their name correctly - have returned with their second effort and according to the press release are now working in technicolour rather than their previous black and white. It says these songs are bursting with melody and invention using new song structures and buzzing synths to forge their brave new world.
8/10 Jack Customer review, 1st December 2017
Cults 3rd album drops four long years after their sophomore album, Static. And it was worth the wait. The album as a whole is a tonal shift from their previous record in the way that the songs on Offering are more up tempo and sound more optimistic. Every song still has that catchy earwormy quality of their debut album, and some of the dark tones that were present on Static, but Offering features a more mature sound and a quality that comes from a band that has been together for almost 8 years.
