William Patrick Corgan is indeed the same Billy Corgan who fronted both Zwan and the Smashing Pumpkins and like a lot of fellow musicians has spent much of his later years having Twitter spats. This first album under his full moniker was recorded by Rick Rubin and is said to be his most intimate body of work yet.
7/10 Jack Customer review, 29th November 2017
Corgan fans who have longed to hear Billy showcase his softer side, REJOICE! Awkwardly verbose titles belie the beautiful, raw music within each song. More reminiscent of Corgan's intimate 2004 acoustic Chicago set than the 2005, heavier album "The Future Embrace," this album is what many fans have been desperate for from him. Remember the crushing disaster that was Blinking with Fists? This album is chock-full of similar obfuscation and heavily emotional themes. It turns out that clunky poetry cleans up real good when metered against pretty piano and strings.
