Occasional New Pornographer and Swan Lake alumnus Dan Bejar has been turning his solo project from typical indie rock fare into an inventive, '80s-studded project over the last few years, employing synth 'n' sax on the verbose Kaputt and getting serene on Poison Season. Now he returns with ken, a record named in tribute to the original title of ballad "The Wild Ones". Dad as ever, it's likely to be a lyrical tongue-twister full of snarling wit.
