Originally an ultra-limited cassette edition of 63 copies, released back in 2011, ‘Green Amulet Crafts Supernatural Qualities’ is the second edition in a series of vinyl reissues of Dominick Fernow’s (Prurient, Vatican Shadow etc.) early work as Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement. The first record in the series sold out swiftly, so it’s highly likely that this will be a goner by the time you read this.

‘A Slave Boy That Died An Awful Death For Not Keeping His Owner's Horses. He Helps People Who Are Looking For Lost Things.’ takes up the first side. Imagine being in a pitch black, humid, rainforest with insects crawling all over your face and hearing the sound of slow, marching drums. A paranoid sensation of impending doom - the feeling that some real bad shit is about to go down.

The dank ‘An Old Hag That Wears Shoes And Stomps Over People's Stomachs At Night Making Them Breathless’ is over on the flipside. The sparse drums create an almost claustrophobic atmosphere as you stomp through gloopy mud and discover the relics of human sacrifice, as rain pours and birds fly overhead. A slow trudge through the heart of darkness.

10/10 Tajinder Customer review, 8th August 2017

If you like your music Dank, forebording, mysterious, and hypnotic...then this might be what your looking for. Second in a pate of one off limited pressings on green vinyl of Dominick Fernow’s earliest renditions under the Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement monkier on the outstanding Hospital Productions label. These 2 filmic pieces are like wandering deep into the misty woods surrounded by untold energies, observed and observing. Amazing music which gets better with each listen. I'm sure these collectable releases will soon be on ebay and discogs for ridiculous prices...
