Emanating originally from Melbourne, Alex Lahey originally went to university to study jazz saxophone. Luckily she realised that this was a terrible waste of time and so embarked on an arts degree and set about making relatable fuzz pop that sounds like Courtney Barnett sandpapered in order to fit onto college radio playlists. Catchy with punch-a-long choruses galore.

7/10 Jack Customer review, 1st December 2017
This is one of the most feel-good releases I've ever heard. Alex Lahey has a similar sardonic character to her lyrics as Courtney Barnett, but catapults her idiosyncratic observations through exhilarating bouts of pop-punk bliss. It's fun, but not without substance. Lahey makes pointed commentary about a jobless millennial, having agonizingly low self-esteem while being in love, and queer relationships in 2017. My only complaint is that some of the tracks start to sound the same, or that there isn't as much effort put into some songs on the album
