Here we have the debut release from The IT Company - a self-released cassette which is also available to download for free from the artist's BandCamp page at theitcompany.bandcamp.com So if you dig it enough to want to own a tape, you know what to do.

It begins reasonably cheerfully with lovely melodic chimes, electronic marimba and dreamy pads, then moves in the opposite direction and into some weeping, emotive ambient that recalls Angelo Badalamenti’s more ghostly passage from his Twin Peaks soundtracks. Layers of pretty, twinkling bells and music box like chimes then make way for a darker ambient passage before the first side closes with what sounds like little toys playing a dramatic, playful symphony. The second side of the tape gets going with hazy ambient loops with a real sense of sadness lurking beneath, before gently melodic phrases are played by a seemingly melting piano. Then things get kinda trippy as they play out, with simple repetitive motifs - sounding like they’re warping in the sunshine. A sweet, ultra-chill tape.
