But this isn’t the first we’ve heard from these guys - operating out of the Bay Area underground with the Katabatik collective. Jay has had a number of releases as Exillon (Ad Noiseam, Zod, Detroit Underground etc.) and Michael is part of Nommo Ogo (Record Label Records, Isolate).

The record opens with some twilight techno which moves at a fairly gentle pace, allowing plenty of space for evocative, blue strings that descend into nightfall. The next track is like being lost in a forest at night (on acid), where nocturnal creatures awake, the sound of owls and such. It gets pretty psychedelic with a bubbling acidic bassline. The third track has a similar forest like atmosphere - in a more ambient GAS sorta style with subtle kick drum and lush, dreamy orchestral sounds. The fourth and final track works in a similar ambient techno mode, although somewhat trippier, warm and enveloping. All quality deep techno stuff, perfect for late nights or very early mornings.
