London based producer Bullion has had releases on Young Turks, Deek, R&S, and Honest Jon’s with his synth heavy, melody driven, tropical boogie house. Always injecting a bit of sunshine in Blue Pedro does actually seem to be a sort of rework of the Blue Peter theme tune. Backed with two '80s synth glam heavy disco groovers. Vinyl on The Trilogy Tapes.

This has been playing in the office to general ear disbelief this week. It appears to be a kind of electronic re-work of Mike Oldfield's 'Blue Peter Theme'. It's a jaunty catchy as hell sea shanty that sounds pretty much unlike anything ever (except Mike Oldfield's 'Blue Peter Theme' to which it sounds identical). It's not all sea shanty - there's some great vocal slices interjecting half way through and the beats really make you want to boogie. Play this out and people really won't know what is happening or what day/year it is.
It's backed by two disco groovers but as enjoyable as they are they just seem far too sensible after what has just happened on the A side.
