The worlds of Johnny Jewel film music (Lost River and, to a lesser extent, Drive) dovetail with the mission to provide music for the new season of Twin Peaks, easing some of the burden off of David Lynch's decades-long maestro, Angelo Badalamenti. Badalamenti and Jewel's flagship band, The Chromatics will be appearing on the two volumes of Twin Peaks soundtracks, so while I'm not 100% certain that the music on this album will feature on the show, I can confirm that it is a pitch-perfect homage to Badalamenti's style.
