In 1966, a year before releasing Forever Changes, Love’s self titled album came out. Here Rhino have marked the 50th anniversary with a reissue of the mono version on vinyl. Heralded as kings of the psych-rock scene in Los Angeles and label mates with The Doors they defined the genre, and still do.

- Love (Mono Version) by Love
8/10 Jack 26th June 2017
Love was such an adventurous band and this debut laid the foundation for things to come. It was a smart move to cover the Burt Bacharach/Hal David song, "My Little Red Book" as it established them early on as a radio worthy band. Little did we know what was yet to come. If you don't have much Love in your collection this is a nice piece to pick up. These guys wrote some really great songs during the psychedelic era that hold up and sound fresh today. A great band that never quite got the attention they deserved.
