Sacred Bones present a pair of Psychic TV reissues. Allegory & Self, released in 1984, is in fact one of the group’s most pop-friendly albums ever, a surprising move for the group led by Genesis P-Orridge and Alex Fergusson. Take this chance to relish the sound of the weirdos storming the charts! Out of print on vinyl for almost three decades, here is Allegory & Self reissued.

7/10 Jack Customer review, 26th June 2017

I do not care for Genesis P Orridge as much as a person, but I enjoy this album catchy 80's pop in a Depeche Mode or Kraftwerk sorta way. "Godstar", "Southern Comfort", "Just Like Arcadia", and "Baby's Gone Away" are hits on this album. I much prefer his early work with Throbbing Gristle, however I think this is the best album PTV has done, and Gen shows his skills as a multi instrumentalist and songwriter, it's a shame they went into an Acid House period later on. I myself much prefer Coil or Current 93 to PTV.
