Michigan based four piece Heaters pack a whole lotta surf fuzz energy. After a few full lengths on Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records and Dizzybird Records London based label Fuzz Club had them over into their studio for some live sessions laid down on some truly analog equipment. Rough, ready, driving and warm as hell.

Not content with releasing about a million records a month, Fuzz Club now have their 'sessions' series so they can release even more. Here Michigan based surf psychers get to inflict more of their racket on those who can't get enough noisy sludge. This pretty much sounds like a live recording to me, the band sound like they have been recorded in some kind of wind tunnel with cymbals drowning out anything that could be said to resemble a guitar. The band have a habit of changing tempo - they do this on both 'Levitate Thigh' and 'Master Splinter', changing tempo is a hard thing to get right without sounding like a desperate attempt to whip a crowd into a frenzy towards the end of of a moribund live performance.
There's absolutely no dynamics here. No great rhythms to draw you in, nor memorable songs or killer guitar playing. It's just a noise. I'm sure Heaters are better than this. Here they just sound like a one dimensional bar band at soundcheck.
