High Sunn has racked up thirty releases to date, an impressive number even before you become aware that that accounts for just three years, or that Mr High Sunn is currently only seventeen(!!). It sounds absurd, but hey, just listen to Hopeless Romantic and you’ll find it hard to deny that the kid has the indie-pop talent to back it all up. Vinyl EP on PNK SLM.

These kids eh? Justin Cheromiah Aka High Sunn has had 30 releases out so far but the most amazing thing about this is the fact that he's only 17. He literally must have no life at all. That he's stayed in his room churning these things out is our gain as this is pretty charming lo-fi pop with those kind of surfy guitars and driving basslines. When he's 18 let's buy him a pint (if he can tear himself away from the studio long enough).

Over the course of these six tracks he and his pals (I forgot to mention he has band pals now) he mines a nicely tough and fuzzy form of garage rock that has something of the more upbeat end of Sarah Records about it. 'Tears' have some silly synths going on but mostly it's vibrant and upbeat guitar pop, nods to the likes of Wild Nothing and American Wrestlers can be heard throughout and Cheromiah has a shouty singing style with gives a bit of edge to proceedings.

He's still got a way to go before he reached Guided By Voices 100 releases (or their level of excellence) but this is really good stuff.
