Leslie Feist comfortably forms part of the burgeoning spearhead of Canadian talent taking over the world. Nearly six years since her last release, Feist returns with an expansive and immersive full-length - crammed with organic production, sweet hooks and a cheeky Jarvis Cocker cameo. This is a creative feast.

8/10 Jack 6th June 2017

Given the heady direction Feist was headed in her last 2 albums, did we really expect a return to "Mushaboom"? If so - yes, you'll likely be disappointed. Long gone is the coffee shop gentleness of Let It Die; there is no folksy jangle the likes of "1234"... quirky indie pop seems to be a mantle Feist wore uncomfortably, or maybe just got bored with. Here we have unconventional choruses, abrupt endings, a wash of bleeps 'n' bloops here, a fade into amped guitar fuzz there - it really is the type of album that rewards multiple listens.
