7/10 Jack 29th June 2017

This album is credited to Gene Page, and indeed he composed and arranged most of the instrumental pieces on this album, but the record also includes three vocal tracks by the Hues Corporation (famous for their 1974 hit single “Rock the Boat”) and two vocal tracks by a group called the 21st Century Ltd. Those songs by The Hues Corporation are all quite enjoyable, including one of the funkiest tunes I have ever heard them do, but the tracks the 21st Century Ltd. are not nearly as strong. Recommended.
