Straight outta Copenhagen fly Mythic Sunship, a heavy psychedelic quartet swimming in a lake of fuzz. Land Between Rivers is a riffed-up monster of an album, with track lengths that stretch out into the far distance and deep-dug grooves that just won’t let up. Released on CD and LP by El Paraiso Records.

Their debut album 'Ouroboros' was an absolute beast, and it hasn't been a year since its release, but Mythic Sunship are back already with a slightly shorter, yet equally cosmic follow-up. Consisting of three tracks (like their debut), 'Land Between Rivers' continues the Danish quartet's epic voyage, with the 15-minute opener 'Nishapur' starting off as a comfortable psych jam, but then increases in intensity and ultimately becomes as 'far out' as they can get. "High Tide" “High Tide” blends together post-rock, prog and psych all together, and it ebbs and flows in a wonderfully uncertain way, making the listener unsure which direction they'll go next. Finally "Slit" (also the shortest track at just six minutes) unleashes the band's full-breadth of heavy fuzz, using twin guitars and the rhythm section as weapons to help immerse you into a sonic finale. Much like their debut, ‘Land Between Rivers’ is an album that both expands and contracts their ideas and visions to create something that is both consummate and raw at the same time.
