IV is the fourth full length release from much loved noise people Part Chimp. This killer album brings together a much more mature approach than their previous releases. A great blend of impending doom-like guitars and slurring vocals allow for Part Chimp to blossom into a machine of the noise-rock genre. Available on Vinyl LP and CD.

- IV by Part Chimp
10/10 JONATHAN P SUTCLIFFE 15th April 2017
If you have ever seen the Young Ones - and the clip wherein Neil (the not so overly depressing hippy due to the fact that if you sat him down and talked to him would probably turn out to be a decent Tory) - finds out the guys have got hold of a video deck (from none other than Harry the Bastard - "the very same!"), and demands he be allowed to use it... groping arms flailing about in his desperation to get to use the damn thing... then yerl have a modicum of insight r.e. my desire to get this piece of white hot shit on my turntable - replete with new stylus!!!!!!!!!
That tedious, folks, that tedious... And no you can't borrow it though I may stretch to coming round with it and allowing you to pour me a beverage whilst it plays on your turntable... that said... if you don't have a turntable then I'm more than happy to bring round the CD version I also ordered in my scramble for a semblance of the new Part Chimp....
The muzik!? It's merely the furthering of the Chimp sound - scratchy riffs and sordid bass. The Sleezecore foundation began here (along with Todd and H.C)... As there are no other imitators and you know a Part Chimp track when you hear it - I will leave it to my fellow listener to discern what Part Chimp IV (4) means to them...
I've only heard it this morning - the vinyl just having been delivered... It'll get a few other airings tonight - along with a cup or ten of gin (to mask my own interminable irritation that I couldn't get to Fat Out Fest, Salford)...
If yerv heard the Too Many Hitlers track and Ex-Lady Boy tune then you know what to expect...
Yours, Whimp Chimp (Lancashire)
