8/10 Ant Staff review, 09 March 2017

Norwegian noise lord Lasse Marhaug constructed this album using source material from acoustic improvisers Sult. Imagine a heavily intoxicated AMM hooking up with Einstürzende Neubauten and SPK, covering their bodies in contact mics, then breaking into a factory late at night and jamming on the heavy machinery, scraping and grinding metal into a cacophony, throwing machines down stairwells, shoving tools into rotating cranks etc. All with no lubrication! You can hear the machines crying in pain.

For the second side of the LP they turn on the broken machines and they weep as they malfunction. It’s a miracle nobody got hurt!

A brilliantly freaky and semi-disturbing joint release between ConradSound and Lasse Marhaug's own Pica Disk label, in an edition of just 200 copies.
