With a follow to 2014’s If You Wait due out later in 2017, London Grammar offer up the second single to come from their new album. Produced by Jon Hopkins, Big Picture is a rolling cinematic piece that pushes the band further away from their power pop ballads into something a bit more succinct and grand.

If only everything on X Factor could be as soulful as this then world could be a marginally less shrieky place - just imagine the ears that could be saved. It's a bit like if Adele had softened slightly through marriage and winning all those awards and dialled back her enormous lungs then made a ballad of such forgettable indistinction that it's rather like listening to Heather Small singing through a duck feather duvet. Not only that 'cutting edge' producer Jon Hopkins has been drafted in from his recent work with Coldplay to further soften any edges that may have still remained. If you have liked music in the past then please avert your ears as this could be the final nail in the coffin. The sound of total and utter indifference.
