More dark and brooding electronics from everyone’s favourite Danish label Posh Isolation. Age Coin is what two former members of Lower get up to when they aren’t either playing in Marching Church or producing as Yen Towers: they make techno with a thick industrial edge to it. Performance is their intense and slightly sinister new LP.

8/10 Laurie Staff review, 18 January 2017
First of all, what is going on with that artist name. Second of all, Robin says “Oh yeaaah listening to muUUuuuaahsic”, so it must be clear that I’m having a good time and he’s a dingus.
I haven’t been keeping up with Posh Isolation much, but that KYO 12” from last year was excellent. Terrifying, but excellent nonetheless. This one however takes a more rhythmic dance-orientated approach, still with the strange wispy, drippy sound design elements but hacked into nice, quaver-sized chunks and neatly arranged in time with some shuffly kicks and claps to make something resembling dance music. It’s like dubbier, more industrial versions of FaltyDL and Modeselektor collaborating with Lumisokea, who insist on snipping up their sounds to make the most interesting collage-dub-tech-shuffle you’ve ever heard.
As well as kicks, snares and myriad snippetted background noises, you’ll also find turns of breath from a real human’s lungs, and things so conservatoire as cello edging in on things like ‘Domestic I’. A very nice sound palette arranged beautifully. I think I will order this now yes ok.
