Fuck Yeah is a group made up of four Munich men in their forties, each of whom has had a whole world of alternative rock seep into their veins over the years. Now, together, they let all that music seep back out again into their own tracks, most of which are about rock’n’roll itself. Sounds good. Debut album Fuck Yeah is released by My Redemption Records.

7/10 Clinton Staff review, 08 February 2017

Such is the ageing process of rock and roll that the press release proudly exclaims that two of this four piece of forty somethings possibly have bad backs.

This affliction doesn't stop them from producing the sort of tight layered avant rock that suggests Built to Spill having a bit of a garage-rock laugh. They are kind of embarrassing dads at times but with tunes. The eponymous 'Fuck Yeah' is the sound of fathers down in the basement singing the sort of words they have to keep hidden from their kids but their redemption is that they do it really tunefully with the sort of '90s infused melodies that will remind you of the time guitars were always tangled.

'Rock and Roll Was Here To Stay' is a kind of look back at the good times with some strange timelines, Elvis Presley's death is combined with a love of VCR (I thought video came a little later). Maybe I'm confused or maybe they are. The thing is listening to these songs at times I'm sort of embarrassed for them but their songs are so catchy and full of vibrancy I want to go and attempt to dance.....but oh this back of mine. .
