Nocturnal Animals (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) by Abel Korzeniowski

The new, highly-acclaimed Tom Ford film has a soundtrack from the same composer who worked with Ford on A Single Man, Abel Korzeniowski. It's certainly a collaboration that works, with Korzeniowski providing some very interesting sound beds for the romantic dramas of Nocturnal Animals to play out over. The original soundtrack is released on lovely lovely lovely vinyl because God loves you.

Abel Korzeniowski was born in Kraków, Poland and had contact with music from early childhood: his mother Barbara plays the cello and both his brothers Antoni and Andrzej are musicians. The score for Nocturnal Animals finds that delicate line of placing the story both in real time and as a reading of a book from which the film takes its title. The music is all lushly orchestrated. According to music critic, Jonathan Broxton, ‘The score for Nocturnal Animals is short, at just a hair over thirty minutes, but there actually isn’t that much more music in the film.
