Slapp Happy were formed when Anthony Moore, based in Hamburg at the time, was encouraged to be less experimental. He wrote some, more normal, yet still avant garde, songs and invited his friend, Peter Blegvad to play guitar and girlfriend Dagmar Krause to sing. Faust acted as the backing band and 1972’s Sort Of was the outcome. The album includes Blue Flower which was covered by Mazzy Star on their 1990 debut album She Hangs Brightly.
