Badmotorfinger is the album that successfully broke Soundgarden into the mainstream, thanks to the massive success of fellow Seattle bands Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Although it was their third album, it was Badmotorfinger that really jump-started Soundgarden's career. The psychedelic-influenced riff-rock that made Superunknown a smashing success was first developed here. Badmotorfinger includes "Rusty Cage," an anthemic number which boasts one of the fastest and catchiest guitar riffs I can think of.
